Track info

Recently I've been thinking that it would be cool to make a very long track in "AntyLOL" style (using only 5 elements, 3-1-1 to 3-1-5 in editor). And there it is. It should be a little bit longer than "AntyLOL by   kamyl" where actual WR is low 38 minutes. There are two reasons this track is not as compact as "AntyLOL":
1. I used 10x150 tmo template (track was made in tmo as well) which offers more space than the template   kamyl used.
2. Maybe it's just my opinion but rally seems to be "brighter" environment, or maybe that's because there are small holes in the road in the air.
AT here (first try) is 45 minutes and 10 seconds. I tried to make the track as flowy as I could and I think I was quite succesful about that, but you'll judge it yourself. There are no crossroads, I tried to make it as uncuttable as I could though there might be some shortcuts of course (I saw few while driving these two runs so far, used none).

Driving tips

The most important rule - do not perform any jumps! Stick to the road! And if you feel you are going to fall down, don't wait, respawn! Passing cp you are not supposed to now can ruin the run. There are not many surprising corners, but there are some, so be careful while driving. Driving slower costs less than many respawns.

Thx andrus In solo mode you can pause game without losing time so it's ok I guess. You can't pause on multi though.

Thx Psikopate Maybe, but I feel coast would be very annoying and much more laggy. If I do any map like this, then next will be island probably. I've heard that somebody has made a snow map in this style which is over one hour btw.

Thx berrymaster I'm not sure, 8-9 hours maybe, I just remember I've been finished with it around 6 a.m. since I was pretty tired and wanted to release it instead of adding another ~10 minutes next day.

I survived about ~27 minutes with only 2 respawns but then my eyes got destroyed and I couldn't concentrate and see the route well anymore in this white platform hell Might go for another round sometime but for now I'll let you keep that first place. login: sute

Good thing I saved that replay, I didn't know about the 500c reward, and I never want to drive that track again.
It wasn't bad, but I've never had so much motion sickness on a track before. I've been playing for over 8 years and never experienced anything like it.
It wasn't low fps, I was averaging around 100+fps, never dropping below 80.
I think it was the block type, with the wooden planks looking the same and the edge being hard to see with identical textures just underneath the track for most of the time. If the track had a texture mod that gave a solid edge to the block (maybe a black border or something), I think it would eliminate most of this issue and make it much easier to navigate, since your brain wouldn't need to spend that extra time and energy figuring wtf is happening while you're driving the track.

I don't know if I explained myself as well as I could have, since my head is still sore and I still feel a bit nauseous.

I know what do you mean I just don't use mods and using mod on this track would be terrible idea imo - for some people it lags already. Would be much worse with mod loading. Besides, I stopped using mods few years ago because they annoy me and most popular ones are not located anyway and locating files is not like "forever" (that's why I don't use custom signs as well). Imagine playing complicated track with custom signs where locators don't work anymore or launching the track for the first time without internet.

Well, a good endurance challenge. I like the permanent up & down of the track. But it isn't very interesting. Too much the same. Looks poor.

So 4 years later, I gave it a second try since I wanted to do a sub 45 run, and it's mission accomplished with a 1min improvement
I still had at least 5 respawns and a few mistakes, and I wasn't risking the jump transitions between perpendicular platform slopes.
I don't have the courage to try to improve by 1 more minute and join you and Ezom in the 43 range
