The "Driver's Contest" is, as the name implies, a contest all about driving! The contest was started at the TMU Blog.
The "Driver's Contest" will be split into three parts: Sign up, Eliminations, and Finals. WE ARE CURRENTLY AT THE FINALS PART!

So, the second round of eliminations is now over. You can see all the results on page 5 in this forum thread.
Now we are moving on to the finals, where the field looks like this:
1. JumperJack
2. KellerKind
3. Topork
The three finalists play against each other in three different tracks (Alpine, bay and Island). They must now do the following:
1. Race the below tracks in Solo mode.
2. Save replays and send their best ones to Jozii@pp.inet.fi before the deadline. Remember: one replay per track!
Tracks:
"Tibet by W@R"
"SR 012 - Dockyard by Rax"
"SunnyLife (reloaded) by TEP=Cyrus="
Deadline: Saturday 3rd of February!
The winner is the player with the fastest combined time for all tracks (times are added together for each track, resulting in a final "total" time).
Betting
It is possible for non-contestants to bet coppers on the Finals. The odds are listed below. Here's a list of details and rules for betting:
1. To bet, send between 10 and 200 coppers to "Jozii" in-game.
2. In your message, state which contestant (the name of the contestant) you think will win.
NOTE: If the contestant you bet on in a race wins, you win your bet multiplied by the odds for that contestant. If not, your bet is lost.
Here are the odds:
1. JumperJack (1.50)
2. KellerKind (1.60)
3. Topork (2.10)
The numbers in brackets are the odds. Note that these aren't scientifically calculated, just roughly estimated based on the previous performance of each contestant. Please, do not complain against these odds. The betting is meant for fun, and if you find that some odds are "wrong", don't say it or complain about it, just bet if you find an advantage and don't bet if you find a disadvantage (or better yet, bet anyway, as it's still quite fun  )
All coppers lost when betting goes to the TMU Blog and will be used for future contests. All coppers won are paid by the TMU Blog!

how will the driving take place?? is it offline like this: a track is chosen, two people have to drive it within 3 days or something, and the best time wins, or is it online?!

Thanks for all the sign-ups
I haven't set a time for driving the tracks, but it won't be more than a week. As we'll probably have to have several stages in order to eliminate enough players before the finals, I'd like each stage to take as short time as possible.
(I'd like to finnish this before the end of the month, so I can start the Monthly Track Contest from Nations in February )
Anyway, more info on that will come, and I'll try to contruct it so taht you all have the time... |

| The tracks will be more or less randomly selected fom the Best of the Week here at TMX. There is no guarantee there will not be a Stadium track... Still want to participate? |

Quicky (!), it won't just be the top of the list. If the top 20 tracks would all be stadium, track 21 would be included above most of the other ones, in order to keep it multi-environment. But if an environment would appear twice, I'll try to make it Satdium... But we'll see!
Oh, and btw, JJ just likes to show off I wonder how his skills are when it really matters |

well, mine are sucky i lost the GC-final on TMS when it really mattered
