There were a few guys that were curious about how i made this fog effect in my latest tracks
I made a 4 minutes video tutorial you can watch here:

I hope this helps you

Nice tuto m8, explains the secrets of FX colors very well

Only one question.. why didn't you copy the conditions of the start of the FXC block to the end of it? That way you shouldn't have dragged the BlendZ back to the right side & everything else... anyways great tutorial

Advice: people, be careful with FX colors. Making them look ugly is easier than eating. Don't use as much saturation as Hageldave did for example xD

ya dont exagerate it I only did that for the presentation so you clearly see what changes
xD ville to be honest after all those years I play tm I didnt figure out how to copy the start settings to the end settings^^
would you mind explaining it too me?^^

lol

No way I won't tell it to you

...

Okay, okay...

1. When you have chosen the conditions of the start of the block, press the end of the block
2. Then hold CTRL and press the start of the block

Couldn't be much easier, eh?

I know that.

I use:
Fx Colour And Fx Blur Depth (Set 0).

If you not want to Blur.

My PC doesn't like PC3 and even if i have that setting on + blur, FX Colours won't appear

Just a pink/black earth with pure white background

Mmm, but why we should use Fx Colour And Fx Motion Blur or Fx Blur Depth? Not Just only Fx Colour?
(Yup, It's cannot render Far Colour, but why like it?)

Hageldave !
What i have found out most people do not see the FOG EFFECT after sending some beta tracks i made with your video tutorial,"which is class" this made me think why ? if i can see them why not someone else' after alot of screen shots i have found the problem ! its in game settings
Reboot the game,at the start then click Advanced, then UNTICK FORCED BLOOM now save Trackmania..and restart
this allows the colours to be changed or can be seen in peoples work
hope this helps alot of people out with this fog effect

p.s
THX to Nibor for sending me his screen shot settings as i would have never found out the FORCED BLOOM to blame

It might also be that the graphics card can't simply handle the FX effects. But nicely found Wraith

my graphics card i am using is pretty old since my twin 9600gt gone down the one i am using is a old nvid 6600gt pretty old so i would think alot of cards out there should run them if you UNTICK the FORCED BLOOM
a 6600gt can be picked up now for around £15 so if you card is letting you down go and get 6600gt to play this game But please remember it will turn around and laugh at you if you try anything new lol

Heh, so Im proud about me because I found this out my-self . In fact I have to buy a new GFX card because HD 3450 is a little bit slow for the higher resolutions and FXs turned on.

after you added the fx bloom colours..somewhere on the track is there another trigger for something ? if yes then the first fog will stop at this point !! if so then you must add another colour/fog effect again ! and so on right around the whole track after each trigger/ key !
